BISHKEK: Creating a single financial institution within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is undeniable, Kyrgyzstan’s Economy Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev said, Trend reports.

The issue of conducting mutual settlements and a unified budget policy is on the agenda of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, he said, as he addressed the Innoprom-2024 exhibition in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

“On the SCO agenda today is the issue regarding financial settlements, the creation of a unified system of budget policy, tax policy, customs, and tariff policy,” the minister added.

In his opinion, the implementation of the tasks set in this direction will become one of the highest peaks of integration processes.

“Undoubtedly, the SCO today has grown from the scale of regional cooperation into an international organization that will have to generate its own ideas and innovations,” Daniyar Amangeldiev stressed.

Meanwhile, the annual INNOPROM-2024 International Exhibition is being held in Russia’s Ekaterinburg on July
8-11.
