Kyrgyzstan’s Education Ministry Seeks Turkish Collaboration for Teacher Training

Bishkek: The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan has initiated discussions with Turkey to enhance educational cooperation. This development was reported following a meeting between Kyrgyzstan's Education Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Sadik Dogan, and Abdullah Eren, President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).

According to 24.kg News Agency, Kendirbaeva proposed the organization of two-week training courses in Turkey to upgrade the skills of Kyrgyz teachers specializing in STEAM subjects. Additionally, she emphasized the need for translating and adapting Turkish STEAM literature into Kyrgyz for local use.

The embassy representatives and YTB indicated support for these initiatives. Eren also highlighted Turkey's scholarship program, noting the allocation of 50 grant places for the 2024-2025 academic year to Kyrgyz students excelling in the Nationwide Testing.
