Landmine Blast Injures Two in Jabrayil District

Baku:A second landmine explosion in the village of Daghmashanli, located in the liberated Jabrayil district, resulted in another injury on October 8.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ashraf Elman oghlu Gahramanov, born in 1966, was injured in an anti-personnel mine explosion when he entered the area of a previous mine incident. His son, Orkhan Gahramanov, born in 2000, had previously sustained injuries after stepping on a landmine while grazing animals in an uncleared area.

The Jabrayil District Prosecutor's Office is investigating these incidents. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) have reiterated their call for citizens to follow safety protocols, heed mine danger signs, and avoid entering unfamiliar or potentially dangerous areas, especially those undergoing fencing operations.
