Accra:President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith, expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for his proposal concerning Lao students.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Sisoulith made these remarks during joint press statements with President Aliyev. The proposal involves creating opportunities for Lao students to study in Azerbaijan. Historically, Azerbaijan has supported Laos in education, with over 2,000 Lao students and specialists having studied and graduated there in the past. This initiative aims to resume and further develop this educational collaboration, which President Sisoulith highlighted as significant support for the future of the Lao people.
