Large Cache of Undocumented Consumer Goods and Medicines Seized Near Kyrgyz-Tajik Border

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan – A considerable amount of undocumented consumer goods and medicines has been confiscated in warehouses of a retail outlet near the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

According to a new release by 24.kg News Agency, the seized items were found near the Khujand — Zhashtyk — Kanibadam road.

The discovered items include over 16,000 boxes of medicines, 19 tons of sugar, 9 tons of chicken meat, and more than 18,000 bottles of alcohol and energy drinks. An interdepartmental group is currently assessing the cost of the detained goods and taking steps to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case for potential criminal proceedings.
