Latest Situation Regarding Truck Queues at Azerbaijan’s Border Checkpoints Announced

Baku: The number of freight vehicles in live queues in the entry and exit directions at customs checkpoints located on the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan on August 21 has been announced, the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) told APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the information indicates that 1 freight vehicle is in the queue at the 'Khanoba' customs post on the border with Russia, while 134 freight vehicles are waiting at the 'Samur' customs post.

On the border with Georgia, there are 7 freight vehicles queued at the 'Mazimgara' customs post, whereas the 'Red Bridge' customs post has a significantly higher number of 700 freight vehicles in line.

Meanwhile, no queue has been recorded at the 'Bilasuvar' customs post on the border with the Islamic Republic of Iran, while the 'Astara' customs post has 52 freight vehicles waiting.

AYNA highlights that live information on the number of freight vehicles at the border can be monitored on the website of the State Customs Committee. Additionally, carriers have the flexibility to determine their exit post upon entry. If a long queue is observed in the exit direction, it is possible to change the exit post by applying to customs officers.
