Baku: On April 22, Edgars Rinkevics, President of Latvia, visited the Alley of Martyrs, APA reports. He commemorated the Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence and territorial integrity, and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the President then viewed a panoramic vista of Baku and was informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the city's redevelopment projects.
