Lavrov and Fidan Discuss Situation in the South Caucasus

Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan have discussed the situation in the South Caucasus, APA's Moscow bureau reports. Lavrov announced at a joint press conference with Fidan that the regional situation was a key topic during their discussions.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Lavrov highlighted the commitment of both Moscow and Ankara to support activities under the "3+3" regional cooperation platform. He reiterated that this platform aims to foster collaboration among regional countries.

Lavrov also pointed out that the "3+3" platform remains open to Georgia, indicating a desire for broader regional participation and cooperation. The discussions underscore the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address issues in the South Caucasus through multilateral engagement.
