Guba: The Second Local Conference of Youth (LCOY Azerbaijan 2026) is underway at the Guba Training, Education and Recreation Center, organized under the auspices of YOUNGO, the youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The focus of the conference is drafting the National Youth Declaration, a key initiative set to be adopted during this gathering.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the EcoSphere Environmental-Social Center is the main organizer of LCOY Azerbaijan 2026. The Center is committed to sustainable development, environmental education, and involving youth in environmental decision-making processes. This marks the second consecutive year that EcoSphere has been chosen by YOUNGO's LCOY Working Group to host the conference in Azerbaijan.

The two-day event convenes young climate leaders from across the nation, alongside representatives from government institutions, international organizations, and local experts. The conference began on September 11 with an opening ceremony at ADA University, setting the stage for discussions and collaborative efforts aimed at addressing climate challenges.
