Baku:Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, recently met with Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, to discuss collaborative efforts.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on Azerbaijan's role in strengthening Islamic solidarity and explored potential avenues for cooperation between the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan and the Muslim Council of Elders.

During the discussion, the active promotion of Islamic culture and its core values by Azerbaijan on the international stage was acknowledged. The country's significant contributions to this field were emphasized.

The session also underscored the significance of the upcoming Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in 2027, where pivotal issues are expected to be addressed.
