Guba: On February 24, during her visit to the Guba district, Leyla Aliyeva visited the home of beekeeper Zafar Azizov, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva engaged in a conversation with the beekeeper's family, learning about the daily operations of their farm. Zafar Azizov provided insights into his beekeeping journey and the family brand, Balli Petek. Azizov mentioned that he embarked on professional beekeeping in 1997 with just two bee colonies, which have now expanded to over 200 colonies. Since 2010, the family has marketed their products under the Balli Petek brand, offering May, forest, and mountain honey.

Zafar Azizov explained that to ensure diverse honey production, he relocates the bee colonies across various districts, including Khachmaz, Shabran, Gusar, and Guba. With an annual production capacity of 2-3 tons, the farm produces royal jelly, bee pollen, and propolis. Mr. Azizov is also involved in breeding pedigree queen bees, enhancing the farm's offerings.
