Leyla Aliyeva Engages with Local Workers During Visit to “Yashil Chay” Farm in Lankaran

Lankaran: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and head of the IDEA Public Union, paid a visit to the "Yashil Chay" farm situated in Lankaran's Istisu settlement.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Aliyeva explored the farm's operations, learning about the different tea varieties cultivated and the range of products manufactured on-site. The farm is noted for its significant role in preserving the traditional tea-growing culture of Lankaran, as well as advancing local production and promoting ecological agricultural practices.

During her visit, Aliyeva actively participated in the tea harvest alongside the plantation workers. She engaged in conversations with them about their daily routines and activities on the farm. The visit was marked by the taking of commemorative photographs with the workers.

The farm's owner, Araz Yagubov, shared that the enterprise, which was established in 2006, spans over 100 hectares, including 55 hectares dedicated to tea plantations. He highlighted the farm's commitment to ecological agriculture, which aids in environmental protection, boosts local production, and creates employment opportunities in the region. The potential of the farm as a destination for agritourism was also emphasized.
