Leyla Aliyeva Engages with ‘Young Beekeeper’ Project Participant in Gabala District

Gabala: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union, visited the Gafarov family in Mikhligovag village, Gabala district, as part of the ‘Young Beekeeper’ project. During her visit, she engaged in discussions with the family members about their beekeeping activities, the experience gained from the project, and their aspirations for the future.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Gafarov family expressed their gratitude for the initiative and for Leyla Aliyeva’s personal visit. Young beekeeper Lala Gafarova has seen significant growth in her honey production, increasing from 40 kilograms last year to 100 kilograms this year. She also participated in the Honey Festival in Kalbajar, where she presented her products under the ‘Young Beekeeper’ project.

The ‘Young Beekeeper’ project, launched in 2021 by the IDEA Public Union with partners including the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Employment Agency, and the public legal entity ‘ABAD,’ seeks to promote beekeeping among young families in the regions. The project aims to support employment and foster environmentally sustainable family businesses.
