Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva Explore Cultural and Historical Sites in Nakhchivan


Baku: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of IDEA Public Union, along with Arzu Aliyeva, Head of Baku Media Center, visited Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with their family members. The visit featured a comprehensive exploration of the region’s historical and cultural heritage, including its unique architectural monuments, social-medical rehabilitation institutions, and natural landmarks.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the visit commenced with the Aliyeva family laying flowers at the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan city. They proceeded to the Heydar Aliyev Museum, where they viewed exhibits that highlighted the life and political legacy of the national leader.



The itinerary also included visiting notable architectural landmarks such as the Momine Khatun Mausoleum and the Nakhchivan Khan Palace. The delegation explored the open-air museum in ‘Ajami’ park, which displays artifacts from the khanate era.



As part of their program, Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva, along with their family, visited the Nakhchivan Child Rehabilitation Center, a facility for children with disabilities. They toured various departments and observed the rehabilitation services provided on-site. Leyla Aliyeva donated several rehabilitation devices to the center, including robotic rehabilitation gloves, miostimulation, and infrared therapy equipment.



The day’s activities concluded with the screening of the feature film “Taghiyev: Oil” at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Nakhchivan. Organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the film, produced by Baku Media Center, is the first installment in a series dedicated to the life of the renowned philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.
