Lankaran: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union, along with Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, explored the creative work of decorative-applied arts master Samir Habibov in the city of Lankaran. The visit included a tour of the craftsman's home-based workshop, where the Aliyevas examined his extensive collection of handmade decorative works.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Samir Habibov shared his expertise in artistic wood carving with the visitors, discussing the specific materials he uses and the decorative pieces he creates. Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva observed the intricate carving process and participated in crafting handmade items alongside Habibov.
Samir Habibov honed his skills in this traditional craft under the guidance of his father during his childhood. His work mainly includes souvenirs, decorative items, and household products made from various types of wood, embellished with complex national ornaments.
These handcrafted souvenirs are distributed to consumers through the "ABAD" retail and sales network, which supports family businesses.
