Minsk: The initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia raises hopes for a long-term solution in the region, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during his speech at the III International Eurasian Security Conference in Minsk, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, progress has been made in recent times towards resolving a number of long-term conflicts, and this is an important step towards ensuring lasting peace in the region.

“Recently, it has been possible to reach solutions to a number of long-term conflicts, and I very much hope that these solutions will be long-term… Azerbaijan and Armenia have signed a peace agreement… This is a beginning, and we hope it is a good beginning,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

The Belarusian President emphasized that the two-year war in the Gaza Strip has ended and that this is only the beginning. Lukashenko said that the agreements reached can play a key role in ensuring stability in the region.
