French President Emmanuel Macron plans to hold a telephone talk with his pair Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, said the Elysee Palace, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The report notes that the day before, on Saturday, Macron will hold a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, adding that at this moment, there is still a chance to prevent an “attack on Ukraine.”

Macron’s government also stressed that “it is necessary to seize every opportunity to avoid confrontation, which destabilizes the security situation on the European continent.”
