Baku: President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu has extended her congratulations to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Maia Sandu expressed her warm wishes to the Azerbaijani leader and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their Independence Day. In her letter, she conveyed her hopes for peace and prosperity for Aliyev, his family, and the citizens of Azerbaijan. Sandu emphasized Moldova's aspiration for lasting peace in the South Caucasus and highlighted dialogue and cooperation as essential paths to achieving stability and progress in the region.

The letter also noted the longstanding friendship between Azerbaijan and Moldova, with Sandu expressing her eagerness to continue the dialogue between the two nations. She concluded her message by offering President Aliyev assurances of her highest consideration.
