Baku: The President of the Republic of Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu, has extended his warm felicitations to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day. In a message sent on behalf of the Maldivian government and its citizens, President Muizzu conveyed his sincere good wishes to the Azerbaijani government and people.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Muizzu expressed his appreciation for the enduring bilateral ties between the Maldives and Azerbaijan, which are built on mutual respect, trust, and cooperation. He expressed confidence that the friendly relations between the two nations will continue to prosper in the future.

President Muizzu also extended his personal best wishes for President Aliyev's good health and wellbeing. He conveyed hopes for the continued progress, peace, and prosperity of Azerbaijan and reaffirmed his highest consideration for President Aliyev.
