Baku: ‘The Azerbaijani government and people are very keen and interested in moving forward in digitalization. For instance, Azerbaijan’s hosting of the World Telecommunication Development Conference, as well as the COP29 Conference last year, clearly demonstrates the country’s openness to the international community,’ said Masanori Kondo, Secretary General of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), in an interview with AZERTAC.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the APT Secretary General expressed his confidence that Azerbaijan would be successful in implementing digitalization. Kondo emphasized that the country’s efforts in hosting significant international conferences are a testament to its commitment and openness to advancing its digital infrastructure.
Kondo also mentioned that this was his first-ever visit to Baku, expressing his long-held desire to see the Caspian Sea, which he had cherished since childhood. His visit underscores the growing international interest in Azerbaijan’s digital initiatives and future collaborations in the realm of technology and telecommunications.
