Astana: Masdar is closely monitoring opportunities to expand renewable energy infrastructure across Central Asia, Maryam Al Mazrouei, Head of Business Development and Investment for the CIS region at Masdar, said at the KAZENERGY Forum in Astana, Trend reports.

According to Trend News Agency, Al Mazrouei emphasized the abundance of untapped resources in Central Asia that could meet both domestic demand and support energy exports. She noted that solar and wind are among the promising areas for energy infrastructure development in the region.

Al Mazrouei highlighted ongoing regional collaboration, pointing out that there are already talks between Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan to connect the grid infrastructure for the purpose of exporting clean energy. This collaboration underscores the potential for cross-border renewable energy projects, leveraging the region’s ample resources to enhance energy security and economic growth.
