Baku: President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Independence Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter highlights the shared history, civilization, culture, religion, and language between Iran and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the strong friendship between the two nations. Pezeshkian notes that these bonds have been a foundation for developing relations between the countries, which have been supported by Iran since Azerbaijan's restoration of independence.
