The Ministry of Defense of Russia and the presidential administration did not support the idea of extending the conscription military service period of deputies and senators from one to two years, according to two sources at the Federation Council and a source close to the Ministry of Defense, APA’s Moscow bureau reports citing “Vedomosti” newspaper.
