On October 20, 2022, a meeting of the Public Council under the MES was held on the activity of the State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The aim of the meeting was the public discussion of the activities of the State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction on ensuring safety in construction in the country, the work done in this field and the upcoming tasks.
Chairman of the Public Council Fuad Hajizade and other members of the Council, Deputy Head of the MES Main Department for Organization of Activities with Regional Centers, Project Management and Educational Affairs Gunduz Hamzayev, Deputy Head of the State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction Elkhan Asadov and employees of the Agency attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Head of the Agency E. Asadov gave detailed information about the work done by the institution he represents on ensuring safety in construction in the country and the upcoming tasks. It was noted that the State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction, within its competence, prepared methodical-normative documents and recommendations on control over safety in construction, as well as other normative-technical documents regarding construction, carried out  verification of the compliance of the construction projects prepared by the project organizations with the valid urban planning and construction normative documents, control over the construction works performed in construction, restoration, reconstruction and major repair facilities in the country, regardless of the subordination and form of ownership, according to the project passed by the state expertise, construction norms and rules, checking whether the building materials and constructions to be used in construction meet the requirements of state standards using modern technology, equipment and devices, full inspection of buildings and facilities for various purposes and applied administrative measures within its powers against persons and construction companies who violate construction safety requirements.
Assessing the activity of the Agency positively in general, the members of the Public Council noted the importance of joint activities with relevant institutions on ensuring safety in construction.
During the meeting, which was held in an atmosphere of mutual exchange of views, members of the Public Council expressed their opinions and suggestions on issues of ensuring safety in construction.
