Baku: Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly central role in ensuring the security of states, according to First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva. Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Digital Development Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Aliyeva emphasized the immediate impact of artificial intelligence on current development, rather than just future growth.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aliyeva pointed out that the development of artificial intelligence in leading countries worldwide is advancing faster than anticipated, bringing both new opportunities and potential threats. She highlighted the importance for Azerbaijan to be prepared for new challenges, especially in the areas of cybersecurity and information security.
The First Vice President underscored the necessity of active and effective collaboration among all state institutions to address these challenges. She articulated Azerbaijan's ambition to become a regional leader in digital development and artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of learning from international experiences and successful models. Aliyeva also stressed that all decisions should align with Azerbaijan's national interests and needs.
