New york: First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has shared a video of a dialogue between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and former U.S. President Donald Trump. The exchange took place in New York and was posted on Aliyeva’s official Instagram page, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the conversation, Trump addressed the ongoing efforts to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He expressed his involvement in the peace process, acknowledging the lengthy conflict between the two nations. “I want to thank you, my friend. 22 years, right? 22 years. You were at war for 22 years,” Trump remarked.

In response, President Ilham Aliyev corrected Trump, noting that the conflict had spanned more than 30 years. Aliyev expressed gratitude for Trump’s role in mediation, stating, “You performed a miracle, Mr. President. Thank you. It was excellent.” Trump also extended an invitation to Aliyev to consider the ‘Abraham Accords.’
