Members of Azerbaijani Diaspora in U.S. Create AI-Based Electronic Medical Record System

Miami: Members of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the United States have developed an innovative AI-based electronic medical record system as part of their studies at Miami University. The system, which has already attracted significant interest from local audiences, represents a major advancement in healthcare technology.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the students are preparing to showcase their startup at the upcoming eMerge Americas 2026 conference in Miami, scheduled for April 22-24. This esteemed event is anticipated to attract over 20,000 participants from more than 60 countries. In addition to presenting their startup, the Azerbaijani students will participate in a panel discussion focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare.

The startup has achieved notable recognition, having won a competition organized by the University Student Startup Accelerator at the University of Miami. This victory secured them an investment of $100,000. Furthermore, the project has been awarded a grant from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Innovations Fund.

The newly developed platform is designed to reduce the time doctors spend on documentation, allowing them to focus more on patient care. It is also expected to enhance healthcare services by ensuring quicker and more precise processing of medical data.
