Memorandum on Climate Partnership Signed in Baku


Baku: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Climate Partnership was signed in Baku, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in climate action, APA reports. The agreement was signed by Yalchin Rafiyev, COP29 Lead Negotiator representing Azerbaijan, and Andre Corrêa do Lago, Secretary for Climate, Energy, and Environment at Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the two countries will collaborate on initiatives addressing climate change, focusing on sustainable development, energy transition, and environmental conservation. The partnership represents a key step toward enhancing cooperation on global climate challenges as both nations prepare for the upcoming COP29 conference.
