Baku: Diversification remains a priority for Azerbaijan's economy, and significant growth is being observed in the non-oil sector, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said at the Private Sector Forum organized within the framework of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, between 2021 and 2025, the average annual growth of the non-oil and gas economy amounted to 6%, while the share of this sector in GDP increased from 58% to 71%. This shift underscores Azerbaijan's efforts to reduce reliance on oil and gas revenues and enhance the stability and sustainability of its economy.
The emphasis on non-oil sector growth is aligned with Azerbaijan's broader economic strategy to foster diversified economic development, ensuring long-term prosperity and resilience in the face of global market fluctuations.
