Military Lyceum Celebrates 54th Graduation Ceremony with Solemn Traditions

Baku: A solemn ceremony marking the 54th graduation of cadets from the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski of the National Defense University took place on June 12, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA. The event was graced by representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the leadership of the university and lyceum, teachers, cadets, alumni, parents, as well as public and media figures.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony began with the laying of flowers at the bust of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, followed by a visit to the National Leader museum. The participants then paid tribute to Jamshid Nakhchivanski with flowers placed at his bust within the lyceum's grounds.

The event featured the solemn presentation of the Battle Flag of the Military Lyceum, which was brought to the parade ground. A minute of silence was observed in memory of Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The Republic of Azerbaijan's National Anthem was performed by a military orchestra.

Major General Gunduz Abdulov, Rector of the National Defense University, extended his congratulations to the graduates on behalf of the Ministry of Defense's leadership. He wished them success in their future military endeavors.

As part of the graduation ceremony, badges of the Military Lyceum were presented to the graduates. A distinguished cadet attached the graduation emblem to a symbolic stump. Subsequently, the Battle Flag was ceremonially handed over to the cadets of the next graduating class.

The ceremony concluded with the cadets performing the Lyceum's march, accompanied by the military orchestra, as they solemnly passed in front of the grandstand.
