Baku: The Milli Majlis discussed the draft law 'On the Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025' at its session held today, APA reports. The discussions were centered around the financial performance of the country for the year 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News agency, Azerbaijan's state budget revenues in 2025 exceeded the approved forecast by 2.2%, reaching a total of 39 billion 184.6 million manats. On the other hand, the state budget expenditures amounted to 38 billion 604.6 million manats, which was 6.8% below the approved forecast, resulting in a budget surplus.
The budget execution resulted in a surplus of 580 million manats for the year 2025. The draft law, after thorough discussion, was put to a vote and successfully adopted in the second reading by the assembly.
