Baku:During mine-clearance operations conducted last week across several districts in Azerbaijan, significant progress was made in neutralizing explosive threats. The operations took place in the regions of Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) reported the detection and neutralization of 188 anti-personnel mines, 66 anti-tank mines, and 631 unexploded ordnance items (UXO) between October 12 and 18.

The agency also noted that these efforts resulted in the clearance of 1,420.9 hectares of territory from mines and UXO during the specified period.
