Baku: Two men suffered injuries following a mine explosion in the village of Chardakhli, located in Azerbaijan's Aghdara district. They were promptly hospitalized at the Emergency Department of the Tartar District Central Hospital at approximately 10:40 a.m. on August 3, as reported by TABIB to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the first individual, born in 1994, sustained an amputation of the right lower leg at the ankle. Meanwhile, the second individual, born in 1998, was diagnosed with multiple shrapnel wounds to the anterior abdominal wall. The latter was subsequently transferred to the Barda District Central Hospital for further medical care. The former's treatment continues at the Emergency Department, with his condition described as moderately severe.

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) confirmed that the incident occurred on August 3 during humanitarian demining operations in the liberated Aghdara district. Alzamin Vazir oglu Surkhayli, born in 1994 and employed by a non-governmental organization, triggered an anti-personnel mine explosion while executing his duties. This resulted in injuries to his right leg.

Fuzuli Rizvan oglu Mirzayev, another employee born in 1998, also sustained injuries, albeit minor, during the incident. Both employees were evacuated to the district central hospital, where their condition was assessed as satisfactory.
