Aghdam: A mine incident occurred today in the territory of the village of Galaychilar in the liberated Aghdam district, the Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) jointly released a statement, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sabuhi Mammadov, a resident of Galaychylar, sustained leg injuries from an anti-personnel mine explosion while entering an area not yet cleared of mines. The victim was immediately evacuated to the hospital for treatment.

The Aghdam District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the explosion. In response to the incident, the Agency for Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), along with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Attorney General’s Office, has reiterated the importance of adhering to safety protocols.
