Tashkent: 'The signing of documents between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are crucial in kick-starting significant projects,' Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, said in an interview with Uzbekistan 24 TV channel.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Jabbarov noted that the signing of the document aimed at increasing the mutual trade turnover to $1 billion, taking place on the margins of President Ilham Aliyev's state visit to Uzbekistan, is of great significance for advancing bilateral partnership.
The Azerbaijani Economy Minister also highlighted the successful conclusion of the 4th Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum. According to him, the documents signed within the forum are extremely important in advancing bilateral economic cooperation, as well as launching major bilateral projects. In this regard, the minister particularly emphasized the projects covering the activity of SOCAR and AzerGold in Uzbekistan.
The minister also mentioned Uzbekistan's brotherly support for Azerbaijan's ongoing restoration efforts in its liberated territories.
