Azerbaijan’s security is significant to us as much as Britain’s, British Minister of State for Europe and North America Leo Docherty who is on a visit to Azerbaijan said during the discussion hold at the ADA University on topic of “Foreign Policy Priorities of United Kingdom”, APA reports.

“Taking into account the regional situation and problematic neighbors, Azerbaijan took a bold step and provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine. We highly appreciate it. Azerbaijan also contributes to Europe’s energy security. Your country plays an important role in the field of energy and transport,” the minister added.

He underlined that although, cooperation between Great Britain and Azerbaijan used to be based on energy resources more, now it covers various fields and it will be more diversified in the future.

Touching upon the green energy potential of Azerbaijan, the minister highlighted that cooperation on this field has already been started.
