Tbilisi: Georgia is working on a large-scale green corridor project and is strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Bulgaria, and Romania in this process, Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili said during an event dedicated to the country's Energy Workers' Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister emphasized the strategic importance of the Black Sea submarine power cable project for Georgia. She highlighted that the oil and gas sector is also an integral part of Georgia's energy strategy.

As a result of months of negotiations with the Azerbaijani government, Georgia reached an agreement this year on the full operation of the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline. This development not only promises economic benefits but also enhances Georgia's role as a reliable route for transporting the Caspian Sea's energy resources to Europe.
