Baku: Co-chairman of the Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Qatar, Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov, attended the official reception marking the National Day of Qatar, organized by the country’s embassy in Azerbaijan. In his remarks, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov congratulated the people of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, and wished the State of Qatar peace and continuous progress.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Heydarov highlighted the strong bond between Azerbaijan and Qatar, noting their diplomatic ties are built on friendship and mutual respect. He emphasized that the relations between the two countries are multifaceted and continue to grow. The Minister also noted the activities of the Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission, emphasizing the significance of the 4th meeting held in November 2025, which marked a key step for economic ties.

The inaugural meeting of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council was organized as part of this meeting. Minister Heydarov also discussed the ongoing collaboration between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations and Qatar’s related agencies, stressing the mutual benefits of enhancing ties across various areas.
