Gabala: Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Tsezar Chocheli, the founder of Gabala Beverage Company, to discuss the ongoing progress of a major new industrial project in the region.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on the company's business initiatives and the status of the construction of a new production facility for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the Gabala district. The parties highlighted the strategic importance of attracting investments to Azerbaijan's regions, noting that the project is designed to enhance local competitiveness, expand export potential, and significantly reduce dependence on imports.

The Gabala Beverage Company was established as a joint venture between the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund (formerly the Azerbaijan Investment Company OJSC), which operates under the Ministry of Economy, and Georgia's "Georgian Beer Company" Ltd. Once completed, the plant will utilize advanced international technologies to produce premium beer, local beer brands, and soft drinks, with a planned annual production capacity of 147 million liters.
