Baku: The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, recently met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan, Mr. Fergus Auld, as reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom across multiple sectors, with a particular emphasis on military ties. Colonel General Hasanov pointed out that these relations play a crucial role in advancing the armies of both nations.

Mr. Auld expressed his satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the importance of such meetings in nurturing further development of bilateral ties. The discussions, attended by the United Kingdom’s defense attach© in Azerbaijan, Lieutenant Commander Gavin Tarbard, centered on enhancing military cooperation, regional security, and topics of mutual interest.
