The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Population has approved standards of working hours and production calendar for 2022.

According to the MLSS, this decision of 17 December also defined days off on Novruz, Ramadan and Gurban Bayram holidays.

In total, due to the holidays and mourning non-working days will be:

January 1, 2 – New Year’s Day;

January 20 – Day of National Mourning;

March 8 – International Women’s Day;

March 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 – Novruz holiday;

May 9 – Victory over Fascism Day;

May 2, 3 – Ramadan holiday;

May 28th – Independence Day;

June 15 – Day of National Salvation of the Azerbaijani People;

June 26 – Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan Day;

July 9 and 10 – Gurban Bayrams Day;

November 8 – Victory Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

November 9 – Day of National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

December 31st – World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day.

Since 1-2 January is a weekend, the 3rd-4th of January is not a workday either. In total on New Year’s Eve there will be five days off – from 31 December to 4 January.

On Ramadan 4 days will be days off in a row because May 2 falls on a Sunday.

On Gurban Bayram there will be 4 non-working days in a row, because 9-10 July falls on Saturday and Sunday.

From March 19 through 27, there will be only one non-working day on Nowruz Bayram – March 25. Most likely, the Cabinet of Ministers will rearrange the working days to ensure a long period of rest.
