Missing First Karabakh War Martyr Madina Babayeva Laid to Rest in Kalbajar 33 Years Later

Kalbajar: The remains of Madina Babayeva, who had been listed as a missing martyr from the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to her family, APA reports. A farewell ceremony for the martyr was held today, marking a significant moment for the family and community who have waited decades for closure.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the martyr's remains were later laid to rest at the cemetery in the village of Dashbulag, Kalbajar District. This ceremony was attended by family members, local officials, and residents who gathered to honor and remember Babayeva's sacrifice.

Madina Rahim Babayeva was born in 1905 in the village of Dashbulag, Kalbajar District. She went missing on March 31, 1993, in the same village, during the tumultuous period of the First Karabakh War. Her disappearance had been a long-standing point of sorrow and mystery for her family and the local community.
