Baku: The modern Azerbaijani state is a product of Heydar Aliyev's genius, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said at today's plenary session of parliament, APA reports. The Speaker highlighted that June 15 - National Salvation Day holds an exceptional place in Azerbaijan's history.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Gafarova emphasized that Heydar Aliyev's return to power was the historic choice of the people. She remarked that thanks to the National Leader's ability to respond to the challenges of the time, independent Azerbaijan was preserved. She also mentioned that the country became a center of global economic and political events and that the modern Azerbaijani state is a product of Heydar Aliyev's genius.

Gafarova further noted that Heydar Aliyev is the founder of today's parliament. She attributed the end of the 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani lands and the country's transformation into a strong state to the consistent continuation of Heydar Aliyev's political course. On the eve of National Salvation Day, she commemorated the cherished memory of Heydar Aliyev, expressing confidence that the Azerbaijani state, strengthened by Heydar Aliyev's wisdom, will continue to achieve successes in the future.
