Zagatala: Mohammad Ilham oghlu Aliyev, an assistant ship captain who lost his life in a drone attack on a cargo vessel in the Sea of Azov, has been laid to rest, APA's North-Western bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the body of the 29-year-old was transported to his home village of Ashagi Tala in the Zagatala district. A farewell ceremony was held in his honor, attended by family and community members.

After the ceremony, Aliyev was buried in the cemetery of his native village, marking the end of a somber day for the local community.
