Ashgabat: During a significant business forum held in Ashgabat, Mongolia emphasized the importance of establishing direct business relationships with Turkmen private companies, aiming to enhance bilateral ties across various sectors.

According to Trend News Agency, the Turkmen-Mongolian business forum, facilitated by Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry, aimed to create partnerships in trade, economy, healthcare, transportation, logistics, agriculture, and the processing industry. The event witnessed participation from government representatives and prominent business leaders from both countries, including figures from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The forum provided a platform for both nations to explore opportunities for expanding their bilateral relationships, particularly in the agro-industrial sector. This sector is noted for its active modernization and the integration of new technologies. Discussions at the forum also covered joint
investment projects and the sharing of valuable experiences between the two countries.

The Mongolian representatives appreciated Turkmenistan’s favorable legislative environment, which they believed would aid the successful operation of foreign partners within the country. The forum also highlighted the importance of developing industries that substitute imports and enhance Turkmenistan’s export capabilities.

The positive outlook shared by participants at the forum suggested that the event would significantly contribute to the growth of economic relations between Mongolia and Turkmenistan. This meeting occurred just before the official visit of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, who subsequently met with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Their discussions led to the signing of several key documents that aim to further solidify cooperation between the two countries and their respective governmental bodies.
