Podgorica:An agreement has been reached for the extradition of Dadash Balakishi oghlu Dadashzade, an Azerbaijani citizen, to Azerbaijan. This development follows negotiations initiated after the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office submitted an extradition request to Montenegro's Ministry of Justice, providing all necessary documents in accordance with international procedures.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the Sabunchu District Police Department's preliminary investigation in Azerbaijan found reasonable grounds to suspect Dadashzade of causing a fatal road accident. Subsequently, charges were filed against him, and he was placed on the international wanted list through Interpol's National Central Bureau due to his evasion of the investigation and subsequent disappearance. Dadashzade was eventually located and apprehended in Montenegro as a result of coordinated efforts.
Current efforts are focused on facilitating Dadashzade's extradition to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Prosecutor General's Office has affirmed its commitment to ongoing cooperation with foreign authorities and Interpol in tracking down individuals wanted by Azerbaijan and ensuring their return to face justice.
