Baku: On the occasion of May 28, Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jakov Milatovic, President of Montenegro, extended sincere congratulations and best wishes for the continued progress, prosperity, and well-being of Azerbaijan and its people.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Milatovic emphasized the traditionally close and friendly relations between Montenegro and Azerbaijan, which are based on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. He noted that the countries have developed strong cooperation in numerous areas of common interest and expressed confidence that joint efforts and commitment will further enhance these ties for the mutual benefit of both nations.

President Milatovic also expressed his conviction that the partnership and friendship between Montenegro and Azerbaijan will continue to grow stronger, serving as an example of constructive cooperation and sincere bilateral relations. He conveyed his anticipation of an official visit to Azerbaijan later in the year, aiming to exchange views on further developing interstate relations through direct communication.
