Moody’s Updates Azerbaijan’s Credit Profile with Positive Outlook

Baku: The international rating agency Moody's has provided an updated assessment of Azerbaijan's government credit profile, rating the country's sovereign credit rating at Baa3 with a 'positive' outlook.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Moody's assessment highlights that Azerbaijan's credit profile benefits significantly from its large net creditor position. This position not only offers a substantial financial buffer for the government but also enhances the state's liquidity capabilities and diminishes external vulnerability risks.

Furthermore, Moody's report acknowledges that ongoing tensions in regional relations are a major factor contributing to persistent geopolitical risks. It is important to note that this statement represents Moody's planned analytical opinion and does not constitute an official credit rating.
