More than 12.000 family members of martyrs and participants of II Karabakh are involved in active employment

After the end of II Karabakh war, 12.100 family members of martyrs and participants of the war have been involved in active employment programs by the State Employment Agency. The SEA chairman Mammad Abbasbeyli told about it at today’s press conference.

According to him, the conditions for self-employment in the form of small family farms and small businesses have been created for 7,800 people within the active employment program. In order to support employment of family members of martyrs and disabled people of Karabakh war they were offered 4.538 vacancies and 2.366 people were employed, including 1.973 people with disabilities. During the five months of this year, more than 1.500 people were involved in vocational training, some of them members of the martyr families and participants of the war.

It should be noted that the persons wounded during the II Karabakh war are holding protest actions in Baku and the country’s regions against the actions of military-medical commissions, which refuse to give them disability groups. The commissions, and subsequently the State Service of Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Population, stress in their conclusions that the wounds on bodies of defenders of the fatherland are not sufficient to recognize disability, or to grant a higher disability group.
