Moroccan Princess Lalla Hasnaa Visits Educational Complex in Azerbaijan


Baku: Princess Lalla Hasnaa of the Kingdom of Morocco, President of the Foundation for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Rabat, visited the educational complex No. 132-134 as part of her working visit to Azerbaijan.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education, Murad Huseynov, Deputy Minister of Culture, MP Soltan Mammadov, Head of the International Relations Department of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohamed Adil Embarch, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Azerbaijan, and Nouzha Alaoui, Secretary General of the Rabat Cultural Heritage Preservation Foundation.



During the event, Emin Amrullayev highlighted the significance of the newly launched twinning program between Educational Complex No. 132-134, a UNESCO Associated Schools Network member, and Rabat’s Oum El Banine School. He emphasized that this initiative marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation centered on cultural exchange, shared values, and educational collaboration.



Students from the educational complex presented the program ‘I discover my heritage – Baku,’ which forms the basis of the twinning project, while attendees watched a video message from students of the Oum El Banine School. Princess Lalla Hasnaa took the opportunity to observe the teaching process, interact with the students, and watch their presentations.



The visit concluded with an exhibition showcasing paintings of prominent monuments from the cities of Rabat and Baku, created by the students, along with a concert program.
